About Me

The only important thing here is I love to read. I don’t have a lot of free time, and when I do, I always have to pick between friends, books, movies, or video games. No matter what I pick, or how often I get distracted by other things, I always come back to reading. It’s the one constant in my life since I was young. I don’t ever see it changing.

The purpose of this blog is simply to write down my honest opinion of the books I read. (Did I actually need to say that?) Well, first off, I’m not an extremely critical person, so some books might seem good to me when it receives bad reviews all around. Secondly, I don’t want to read books simply to review them. (Maybe in the future if I have a lot of requests), but now it’s only going to be books I’m interested in, whether it’s published 50 years ago or last week. If it sounds interesting, or it caught my eye in some way, I’ll read it and hopefully write a review.

With all that, I’m a big romance reader, mostly paranormal and regency. Recently though, I’ve been reading more and more fantasy. I need to occasionally take a break from romance because it gets repetitive (the alpha male, headstrong female, and sexual tension). Instead, I’d go read about dragons and magic and epic journeys to defeat the ultimate evil. Or, in the cast of my favorite fantasy series, Game of Thrones, intrigue and human nature.
