Hello and welcome to Showcase Sunday. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea.
I've never done a book haul before, even though I've blogged for about 9 months. Call me lazy, but Saturday and Sundays are usually when I take a break from the blog, so I never sit down and find the time during the weekend to write one up, take pictures, upload pictures, etc.
So why's this week different?
Well, because I received something super exciting in the mail from the awesome publicists at St. Martin's Press and Tor Teen! Thank you so much!!! *jumps up and down*

Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake - Thank you Tor Teen!
Glitch by Heather Anastasiu - Thank you St. Martin's Press.
They're absolutely beautiful!! I love the cover for both, and they're even more amazing in real life! Before this, I've only received books from publishers twice. I sent my requests for these to the publicists mid-May. At first, I had some hopes of getting them, but as the release dates crept ever closer, I thought I wouldn't get them at all, so imagine my surprise and delight when they both came this week!
I also got something really exciting in the mail. I pre-ordered Throne of Glass, and bought this and its sequal, but it came before Throne of Glass. Funny story, when the UPS guy came on Friday, I thought he'd dropped this off. I was soo excited! But it turned out to be Glitch! I didn't think I could be even be happier, but I was. I squealed and danced around and just acted plain silly. Good thing I was alone at home when that happened!
Lastly, I got these from the library. This was before I realized I'd have so many books show up at my door this week, but I still look forward to reading all of them. I'm not sure I can finish these within two weeks though with the way my schedule is right now.
So what's your haul this week? Leave me a link so I can go check it out!

You are so lucky. Got a good haul. I was thinking about trying Clockwork Angel. I heard the hero is yummy. Can not wait to see what you think of your new reads. Happy reading. Have a nice weekend.
OOh nice! I can't wait to read Girl of Nightmares! I need to order that later today. Saw it on the shelf, but couldn't justify paying full price when it's sooo much cheaper online!
Love Julie Kagawa's books and Blood Bound! Still have to read Jennifer Estep's YA series which are in my TBR mountain!
Happy Reading!
Here's my STS

i know!! Christmas in the summer! I needed some cheering up after holing up in my house for the last few months studying for a professional exam lol. These definitely made my week, maybe even my month!
you too!! thanks!! With all the new books, it's going to take me a while to get to Clockwork Angel, but there's always the possibility I could suddenly read at impossible human speed
The library books were more impulsive than most. I started reading Girl of Nightmares last night. It was not a good choice. I don't like ghosts, especially not at night lol
I liked it! I saw that u were a bit disappointed w/ it on Goodreads, but while it's not going to be a 5 star for me, I still had a lot of fun reading it. I'm gna do my review Monday I think!
thanks!! A lot of ppl are crazy about it haha so I had to see what all the fuss is about!
Great Haul. You twisted my arm I will start with Obsidian today. Have a great weekend sweetie.

Yay for Glitch! I've heard great things about that one - I hope you'll love it! And welcome to Showcase Sunday! (I know how you feel about Saturdays and Sundays being lazy, that's why I usually schedule my Sunday post in advance :))
Happy reading and have a great week!
Oh Ning, really awesome haul this week. You have to do your best to get to your library haul, I loved the Iron Fey series and Touch of Frost. I'm looking forward to reading Girl of Nightmares too, I really enjoyed Anna Dressed in Blood. Enjoy all your books. I look forward to reading your reviews for these :)
lol I didn't mean to, but that's the way the go!! Have fun!
I know! I loved the 1st 2 books and these 2 only promise to get better!
oh now that u say that I'm even more excited to read this!! I really like TMI!
I can't wait to meet Jem and Will after hearing so much about them! Thanks for stopping by!
I should do that. It's just Sat and Sunday I stay away from the computer a lot and spend time w/ families and friends and have less time to comment/post. and the books came as a surprise during the weekend too, so I had very little time to work w/ this time! I'll try to do more book hauls, but maybe twice a month instead of once a week.
Thanks!! I'm almost done with Girl of Nightmares last night, but I have to say I shouldn't have read it that late at night because it's scary! lol I can't wait to get started on my library stuff because I love the first 2 Iron Fey books and Touch of Frost looks amazing too!
I know. I also won 5 ARCs yesterday. It feels like Santa's dropping by in August haha. I can't take the exam yet until October and November, but I'm studying now because I start work in mid-September so I won't have as much time to study then.
I am having a hard time trying to post on your site right now. Sorry. I have to try and fix it.
