Review:
I’ve wanted to read some erotica for a bit now, so recently Ms. Haynes was the featured author at Under the Covers, so curiosity got the better of me and I decided to read this. After reading this, I felt like instead of testing the waters when it came to erotica, I just kind of dived in, but thankfully I didn’t drown. Surprisingly, I liked this despite some uncomfortable moments.

So much like Jessica, I had no idea what hotwifing is. I have a lot of learn about the erotica genre, don’t I? It’s part of why I like the genre because there’re so many facets to it. I have to be open-minded when I read these alternative lifestyles, even if this one makes me uncomfortable.

I really like both Jessica. Jessica seems timid at first, but then when she really went after what she wanted, I had to applaud her ingenuity. Other than Clay’s “quirk”, I didn’t really feel anything for him specifically, except for the flaming hot sex scenes! Ms. Haynes have definitely sold me on those! I will be comparing my future erotica hotness to Ms. Haynes!

Though I tried to keep an open-mind, I wanted to feel a stronger emotional connection between the two characters than just sex. On the one hand the emotional connection was there because there is something special between Clay and Jessica, but I wish there had been more time spent to develop it instead of just rushing to the end.

Anyway, I’m sorry if this review feels more like my feelings on the erotica genre in general rather than an actual review. I’m definitely going to read more by Ms. Haynes as I slowly get into the erotica genre. Next time, I’ll attempt to stay more on topic!
